- Housing Program – These funds will be used to help us with the expenses maintaining and mangaging the physical housing we have available within our Transitional and Stable Housing programs.
- The Cookery – This is our new Christian Cullinary Collaboration offering baked goods and center of the plate meal selections being prepared in local churches and offered at no charge to Newaygo County residents experiencing food insecurity. Donations to The Cookery also covers the Celebration Hope bakery program.
- SMART goal incentives – Our particpants work hard to accomplish specific goals designed to increase their levels of self-suffiency. It’s hard work and as goals are accomplished, we offer small but meaningful incentive opeions including gas cards, Tamarac Momentum memberships, oil changes and Amazon gift cards.
- Financial Literacy training – We use the Consumer Financial Protection Agency training materials to strengthen the level of financial literacy our particpants have. We also provide this curriculum to members of then Newaygo County community, for no charge and donations to this program will pay the instructor and class rental expenses as needed. If you have solid home finance skills and would like to volunteer as an instructor, please reach out!
- In Memory Of – Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to add to their legacy. You have the option to also select the program you would like to support through your legacy donation. Once you select your payment type, you’ll progress to the next screen which gives you the option to hit the “+” and type in the name and instructions related to this gift.
How is Hope 101 Ministry Supported?
As the ministry of Hope 101 works to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community our support has come from generous individuals, businesses, organizations, and congregations that have been willing to help in this much needed ministry. We have also been blessed with grants from The Fremont Area Community Foundation and Great Lakes Energy People Fund.
HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED?
Donation of Financial Support
Become a Sustaining Partner by committing to a monthly or quarterly gift to HOPE 101 to fund ongoing program costs. Give a one-time gift of any amount to fund home maintenance and/or program costs.
Donation of time and skill
Help with maintenance, landscaping, handyman chores, painting or getting homes ready for new families.
Donation of household items and furnishings
Donation of personal involvement
Serve on a Board or Committee
Become a High Impact Mentor providing short term help in specific areas like, teaching Excel, taking someone to an appointment, or tutoring someone for a GED test.
Become a part of The Cookery
Help us bake bread or prepare center of the table meals for those in need.
